Introduction:
Have studied in government or aided primary schools consecutively in class 1 to 8 and have completed standard studies and as per the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE Act, 2009) and the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2012 framed thereunder Under the provision of free education to the children of weaker sections and underprivileged groups between the ages of 6 to 14 years in independent schools to the extent of 25% of the class size and have completed continuous studies up to class 8 in independent schools and have completed continuous studies upto standard of both categories of students Income at the time of Gyan Sadhana Proficiency Test of the parents RTE Under Section 12(1)(c) of the Act, 2009, the bright students who are below the prescribed income limit for admission can get admission in the independent secondary schools affiliated to all the boards operating in the state on the basis of merit and get admission in class-9 and get education up to class-1. , for that, a new Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Scheme has been implemented to select such bright students of Gujarat state and give them scholarships for studying in independent schools of their choice from class 9 to 12. In this scheme, 25,000 new bright students are selected every year and they get Rs. 20,000 and a scholarship of Rs.25,000 will be given annually during the course of studies from class-11 to 12.
“Gyan Sadhana Proficiency Test” to be conducted for this Gyan Sadhana Scholarship Scheme is decided to be conducted by the State Examination Board. This test will be conducted as per below details.
The application forms for this test have to be filled online at www.sebexam.org website from 11/05/2023 (03:00 PM) to 6/05/2023 (12:00 PM).

Eligibility to appear in the test:
7) Having studied from class 1 to 8 consecutively in government or aided primary schools and studying or passed in class 8,
Or
b) Under the provisions of Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act 2009, within the limit of 25 students enrolled in Class-I at that time who are studying or have passed Class-VIII,
c) And in case of (a) and (b) above whose income of the guardian is below the income limit prescribed for admission under Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act, 2009 for urban area is Rs. 1,50,000 (One Lakh Fifty Thousand) and not more than Rs 1,20,000 (One Lakh Twenty Thousand) for rural areas will be able to give the test.
Exam fee.
There will be no fee for Jnana Sadhana Prakharta Exam.
Test Structure:
The entrance examination will be of multiple choice form and different gender oriented form (Multiple choice quest/on Ma Based).
The entrance exam question paper will be of 120 marks and duration will be 150 minutes.
The medium of entrance examination will be in Gujarati/English language.
The entrance exam will have the following subjects and marks.

Examination Centre:
→ According to the number of students registered for the examination and examination-oriented administrative convenience, the test examination centers will be decided by the State Examination Board, Gandhinagar in that taluka in the state of Gujarat. The student has to appear for the examination at the examination center allotted by the board at his/her own expense.
Test Result and Provisional Merit List The result of this test will be published on the State Examination Board website www.sebexam.org.
The list of bright students who scored more than the cut off in the Gyan Sadhana Aptitude Test will be submitted by the State Examination Board, Gandhinagar to the Director, Office of Schools, Gandhinagar.

Procedure for Declaration of Final Merit List:
After preparing the provisional merit list by the Director, Schools, it has to be declared. Also, the parents of the concerned students will be informed to get admission in the self-supporting school of their choice within the prescribed time limit and make an entry in the portal of Gnan Sadhana Scholarship Scheme.
The sole responsibility of the students to get admission in the independent school of their choice will be the responsibility of the students and their guardians and no responsibility of the District Education Officer or the Director of Schools in that regard.
